Dear Friends,

Around the world, December 8th was a day of remembrance for John Lennon.

In Reykjavik, I heard that the December 8th remembrance ceremony at the IMAGINE PEACE TOWER on Videy Island went beautifully. The ferry had special trips until 11pm and several hundred people went on Videy into the night.

In New York City, thousands of people gathered on December 8th, at Strawberry Fields in Central Park, throughout the day and night to celebrate and remember John.

I was in Tokyo on December 8th, participating in the annual Dream Power tribute concert for John at the historical Budokan, the concert hall where the Beatles did their concert many years ago. Every year I travel to Japan to be at the Dream Power celebration.

This is the seventh year of this particular charity concert, DREAM POWER, which raises money to build schools in Africa and Asia for children in desperate need. We have already built 65 schools. We hope to reach 100 by the tenth year, 2010.

Eleven thousand people attended DREAM POWER, flashing the ONOCHORD message, i ii iii (I Love You) to each other. It was really hot, hot, hot! And I'm not speaking of the weather!

I, also, deeply appreciate all of your messages of care and love to me on that painful day. There were many; all of them were very thoughtful and kind, clearly trying to help me feel better, even though you were going through your own pain too. Thank you so much. I feel strongly that we are family.

After the concert in Japan, I rushed back home to New York, so I could start taking care of the holiday preparations for my family. We celebrate the holidays, more or less in the way we have done since John and I've made N.Y. our home. Sean comes home, every year, from wherever he is, to decorate the xmas tree in the kitchen, as he always has. He is making his mother very happy by doing so, and he knows it!

So for the holidays, be busy. Have fun. And remember to be kind and giving - to yourself first. For you are beautiful, and we love you.

We shall speak again after the New Year. Let's hope it's a good one without any fear.
