WISH TREE: BALDWIN-WALLACE COLLEGE (Berea, Ohio)
by Shayna Bane and Hank Winters
To celebrate the life of John Lennon, we lit up a tree and filled it with
wishes in the center of campus on Sunday, December 2nd 2008.
We did so to make 'Imagine Peace: B-W' a weeklong celebration of John's life, leading up to December 8th, the 27th anniversary of his death.
The tree was so beautiful and we had been getting so many amazing wishes, that we decided since John's dreams live on, our tree a symbol, so too would the wish tree, and we kept tying on wishes until Winter Break.
We are so thankful to the college for being such a help in our campaign for peace and to all of the students who stopped to make a wish.
Give. Live. Love. Laugh. Peace.
Shayna and Hank
Shayna and Hank, thank you for letting me know your own creative effort to Think, Act and Spread Peace! Make sure to keep the wishes and send them to Iceland for IMAGIN PEACE TOWER. People all over the world are doing that.
Lots of love, yoko
