YOKO ONO
All spirits of goodness of this magical land, of the planet, and of the universe. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for witnessing our humble gathering for the unveiling of IMAGINE PEACE TOWER.
They say if all the people in China were to jump up and down at the same time, the axis of the globe would shift. Well, we are here together. Billions of us. Standing at the dawn of a new age determined to shift the axis of the world to health, peace and joy by loving and caring for all lives on Earth.
Some of us are here physically, some are joining us in spirit. Some of us are imprisoned, tortured, maimed and silenced, but they are also here today with us. Some of us have passed away before being able to enjoy a new age of love and peace. But we are all here today standing together with hope.
The light is the light of wisdom, healing and empowerment. Even in the moments of confusion, fear and the darkness of your souls, hold the light in your hearts, and you will know that you are not alone, that we are all together in seeing the light of peace.
I thank the people of Iceland, for having given so much love to this tower from it's inception. IMAGINE PEACE TOWER was visualized with love, and realized by love. It is a gift from John and Yoko and the people of Iceland to the world.
I know that John is with us, too, in this land of Nutopia, happy that the light tower is finally a reality after 40 years.
Let's make a wish as the light goes on.

ARE YOU IN ICELAND? The unveiling of the IMAGINE PEACE TOWER in Iceland is a private invitation-only event. Members of the public can enjoy the unveiling from mainland Reykjavik, where the clear view from Saebraut by the sculpture Solfarid is particularly recommended.
Footage of the unveiling will be shown live on RUV & Channel 2 in Iceland and later on www.IMAGINEPEACE.com - details to follow!
The public can visit the IMAGINE PEACE TOWER on Videy island after the unveiling ceremony on the evening of October 9th when the ferries will sail from the pier at Skarfabakki at 9:30 and 10:30 pm.

IMAGINE PEACE in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. My name is Luciana Trouche and I'm an English teacher, from Niterói in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I've heard about Imagine Peace on Thursday and immediately (on Friday) I took the idea for two of my classes. My students loved the idea of sending love and peaceful wishes all around the globe! I've explained about the Beatles and Yoko and John's love and we listened to John's and Beatle's songs as we did our drawings. I've had an amazing day with my students and we all had a great time. IMAGINE PEACE in Bethseda, Maryland. Today our class of seventh graders (ages 12-13) at the Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethesda, Maryland, USA, learned about John Lennon and Yoko Ono as artists and peace activitists. We listened and read the words to the song "Imagine" as an international peace anthem, and talked about the dedication of the Imagine Peace Tower. We also discussed the importance of believing in and working for peace.

Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich (Dem): About the IMAGINE PEACE TOWER I watched Dennis Kucinich's video and was choked up listening to his sincere and eloquent words.
I was so impressed by a professional politician being on the same page as us.
All my life, I have believed only in grassroots efforts. I still do. But, today, clearly, we are together. That is nice to know.
I have decided to put this on www.IMAGINEPEACE.com and share it with you, knowing that it will be taken in the right spirit. I thank Dennis and I congratulate Ohio citizens for having such a remarkable representative in the senate.
